JMIR Publications is honored to work with ZB Med on behalf of the German Librarian community to present an innovative Flat-Fee Unlimited open access publishing agreement (targeted for Fall 2024). This arrangement is being crafted with librarians in mind, addressing the complex landscape of Germany's exponentially growing health research output, while promoting open science. Its primary goals are to help manage costs effectively, remove financial barriers that may hinder your institution's researchers from publishing their work, and streamline the publication process. By doing so, this initiative aims to alleviate the administrative burdens placed on librarians, enabling them to better support and empower their researchers in their scholarly endeavors.

Flat fee Unlimited Gold OA

Corresponding authors affiliated with participating institutions may publish in more than 30 gold OA JMIR journals, including Journal of Medical Internet Research, a leading - and the worlds largest - journal in medical informatics.
Participating institutions provide their corresponding authors the opportunity for unlimited gold OA publishing during the term
Participating institutions receive a bespoke flat fee quote based upon historical publishing output with an agreed upon growth buffer (To note: typical growth buffer = approx 3-5 papers, and portfolio average APC = $2,022)
