  • PubMed Now! ("Ahead of print") allows JMIR authors to submit their
    manuscript’s metadata (ie, title, abstract, and affiliations) to PubMed
    instantly upon acceptance, so that the paper can be indexed in PubMed
    within 24-48 hours after confirmed payment of the article processing fee.
  • This purchase option is only available for all JMIR journals indexed in PubMed.

  • Authors are allowed to self-submit videos and press releases. Our communications team will arrange the distribution of the supplied assets. We also provide standard copyediting or video editing support for this service.
  • The flat fee applies if you choose to submit both a video and press release or just one asset.
  • All post-publication assets help increase Altmetric scores that can be tracked at no additional charge.

Lifelong Author Ads - $99
  • JMIR authors can opt to have a lifelong author ad for their articles. Choose this option to display an author banner embedded above your published article (replacing our default ads), linking to a website or web page controlled by the author group or the study sponsor.
  • This is a great way to promote the study group's website, a product site or order form, boost study recruitment, survey completion, or link to a mailing list sign-up page.

1. Land on All Invoices/Generate Invoices

2. If you have not already paid your APF, you can add these services during your checkout process.

3. If you've already paid your Article Processing Fee (APF), you can generate a new invoice for the Knowledge Translation Service.
  1. Go to the bottom of All Invoices
  2. Select the service you would like for the invoice you want it applied to
  3. Select your payment option
  4. Generate invoice
  5. Follow steps to checkout
