Brian Bunnell, PhD
Dr. Bunnell's interdisciplinary research integrates implementation science and biomedical informatics approaches in developing and evaluating health technology solutions to improve the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders (eg, anxiety, depression, post traumatic distress disorder (PTSD), and sleep) across the lifespan. His major lines of programmatic research aim to: (1) use advanced analytical approaches to enhance the measurement and prediction of these disorders and associated functional impairment (2) examine the quality, safety, outcomes, and user experiences associated with telemedicine in routine clinical practice, and (3) utilize iterative, user-centered design approaches to develop and evaluate innovative digital health tools to improve healthcare quality and access.

John Torous, MD, MBI
Dr. Torous directs the Digital Psychiatry division at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. He's a psychiatrist and faculty member, with a background in engineering and computer science. He completed his education at UC Berkeley and UC San Diego before pursuing residency and fellowships at Harvard. He's a leading figure in exploring mobile mental health technologies, with numerous publications and leadership roles in psychiatric associations and research programs. Additionally, he serves as the editor-in-chief of JMIR Mental Health.

John Torous, MD, MBI
Dr. Torous is director of the Digital Psychiatry division in the Department of Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a faculty member at Harvard Medical School. With a background in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley, he earned his MD at UC San Diego and completed his psychiatry residency, clinical informatics fellowship, and master’s in biomedical informatics at Harvard. An expert in mobile mental health technologies, he has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and 5 book chapters. Dr. Torous also serves as editor-in-chief of JMIR Mental Health.
