What’s the Scope?

Each JMIR Publications journal was created to fill a critical unmet need for high quality, open access science focused on providing vetted, rigorous research addressing large and local problems at the intersections of each respective scope and digital health.

Please note that in addition to being open access, JMIR Publications  is committed to encouraging an inclusive global culture of scientific discussion and information-sharing of all research outputs.

Join our growing team of international experts in assessing and handling the review process for manuscripts in the areas of your expertise!

Responsibilities and Benefits

• Serving as spokesperson and advocate for the journal in soliciting high quality submissions.

• On-going support from dedicated members of our in-house editorial team, including a managing editor and at least one editorial associate.

• Handling assigned manuscripts promptly from initial assessment through each stage from sending out to review through publication.

• One waiver for the first two sets of articles you handle. You’ll be able to apply these to cover the APCs for any manuscript you submit to your JMIR Publications journal.

• Participate in editorial board meetings.

• Free on-line seminars and "meet-the-editor" interviews for your institution on tips and trends for success in science publishing.  

• Tailored digital assets you can use to solicit manuscripts and create collections focused on topics you feel are important in your field.
